The Maine Paranormal Society is a Taps Family group based out of Southern Maine. We are an experienced group of professionals dedicated to the study and research of paranormal activity. Using the latest in technology and scientific technique to claim or disclaim the possible existence of paranormal phenomenon. We specialize in the possible existence of life after death, haunting, poltergeist activity, spirit communication, residual haunting, and anything that goes bump in the night. We strive to promote further understanding and education of the paranormal to our members and the public.

Merriam-Websters dictionary defines the Paranormal as not scientifically explainable. They also define it as a part of the supernatural. The definition of supernatural being of or relating to an order of existence beyond the visible observable universe ; especially : of or relating to God or a god, demigod, spirit, or devil. A: departing from what is usual or normal especially so as to appear to transcend the laws of nature b: attributed to an invisible agent (as a ghost or spirit).

If you have experienced a paranormal phenomenon, ghost, spirit, or other worldly contact please feel out the Request Investigation form in the top menu. We do not charge for our services and all information will be confidential if asked. We believe in the security and privacy of our clients.

MPS as a team investigates and researches all accounts of the paranormal from a scientific perspective. We are searching for answers! We do not believe in the use of seance, Ouija boards, or any other practice that may harm or disclaim paranormal activity. We do believe in the possibility of clairvoyance and mediums and at times will use the services of proven and scientifically tested individuals with such gifts.

There is at times when paranormal activity can not be explained through the realms of the scientific method i.e. EVP’s (electronic voice phenomenon), video anomalies, and personal experiences. This sort of evidence does come into account on investigations.

Again investigations are conducted at no cost and we believe in the respect, privacy, and integrity of our clients.
